This track stems from a recent trip to the States where Rebecca attended a song writing retreat at the personal invitation of Judy Stakee a music publisher, artist mentor, author and speaker based in Los Angeles, California, who has signed and developed artists including Katy Perry and Sheryl Crow. It was the journey home that inspired the song which was penned there and then on the flight back. The song centres on finding new friendships and how equally exciting and frustrating those friendships can be when you’re separated by thousands and thousands of miles. “Brooklyn” is a gorgeous heartfelt song with strong haunting melody. The radio friendly track was recorded at the Woodcroft studios in Cardiff with producer Lee House and backing vocals were provided by Porthcawl singer songwriter Elis Thomas. The track was released 5th November and to coincide with the release she performed an acoustic set in the iconic Greenwich Village music venue The Bitter End.
