On the beach

National Theatre Wales Rhyl is a town of many tales; a treasure trove of stories. It is summer, now and then. Families spend hours playing on the beach. A young man pops his cherry and skips all the way back to Liverpool. Dreamers escape to Rhyl for the promise of a new life, while others watch their childhood home change around them. Drawing upon Rhyl and its people for inspiration, Lifted by Beauty: Adventures in Dreaming is a voyage of discovery and memory, a collision of the past and the present; celebrating a place and a people on the cusp of change and transformation. This is an experience that will lead you on a guided journey taking in the surprising places and spaces of Rhyl.
