Ofelia are a young 5 piece indie folk band from South Wales who are currently part of the Forte Scheme working with young artists. The involvement with Forte seems to be paying off as this track marks a huge leap forward for the band. The track has an almost medieval feel to it beginning with some beautiful guitar/mandolin interplay which grows into a glorious swelling hook laden chorus. ‘Marianna’ was produced by Charlie Francis (The High Llamas, Turin Brakes and some band called REM) who is currently the go to producer for young Welsh indie artists. Ofelia have huge potential and this track should begin the process of alerting a much wider public to just how good they are.
